No matter how difficult it is for you or your child to learn to read,

what is heard and seen . . .

And no matter how long this feeling existed . . . It does not have to continue.

        A longer attention span
                                                 Well developed, organized fluent thoughts
                                                 Greater auditory memory

A developed higher order of thinking skills

  A feeling of learning satisfaction

If you or someone close to you has ever suffered from dyslexia, autism, or any other learning difficulty, you know the pain and frustration it may cause.

I offer a unique tutorial program in reading and writing, specializing in the Lindamood-Bell method, an accelerated instruction system using auditory and visual processes which produce language skills developed into a higher order of thinking.   Note taking and the writing process are also included as students progress using verbalization and visualization techniques.  Students must learn to think before the writing process can begin.  Once the thinking process takes place, writing is taught.

Visuals:

  • Difficulty imaging what is heard and/or written

If a student is suffering from failing academics in school and has a diagnosis from a medical doctor such as
dyslexia, Asperger's syndrome or autism, accommodations should be made in the classrooms.  In fact,
accommodations should be made for any student who is not achieving at the level he/she is capable.

An IEP (Individual Education Plan) or a 504 Plan can come into play when a school or teacher will not
accommodate the student's learning needs.  These documents are a vehicle to accomplish what should be
happening anyway.  Ideally, this results in effective teaching which in turn creates better learning for the
       student.

Contact me today for a free consultation.  I offer a one-on-one tutorial service and accept groups of 2-4 ,
       ages 6 - adult.
